Brandied Apple Smash




Name: Brandied Apple Smash


Ingredients:
5 cups (40 ounces) apple juice
2 cups (16 ounces) Calvados or other apple brandy
¾ cup (6 ounces) Goldschläger or other cinnamon schnapps
½ cup (4 ounces) fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup (scant 3 ounces) Tuaca
1 large apple cut into 10 wedges
Makes twelve 5.75-ounce servings


Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher that holds at least 80 ounces; stir well. 
Can be served immediately or covered and refrigerated until ready to serve. 
Fill 10-ounce wineglasses almost full with crushed ice. 
Add drink mixture, along with an apple wedge; serve with a straw.


Garnish:
1 large apple cut into 10 wedges; serve with a straw

Variation:
BRANDIED APPLE FIZZ
Use a pitcher that holds at least 100 ounces.
Just before serving, slowly add 2½ cups (20 ounces)
icy-cold lemon-flavored sparkling water, tilting the pitcher and pouring onto the pitcher's side to retain as much effervescence as possible.
Stir gently to combine.
Serve in 12-ounce tall glasses filled two-thirds full with ice cubes.
